What can I expect from a family photoshoot session?

This is a relaxed, connection-led session that flows naturally. I’ll gently guide you throughout, but the focus is on capturing the joy and realness of your family just as you are, whether that’s cuddles, giggles or quiet in-between moments. It’s less about posing and more about presence.

What should we wear for the shoot?

I have a selection of beautiful pieces available for mums in a range of sizes, optional for those unsure of what to wear. Some prefer to bring their own, which I fully encourage if it feels more like you. I’m here to guide you either way.

For the rest of the family, warm neutrals, earthy tones, flowy fabrics and textures photograph beautifully. Once your date is locked in, we’ll chat through it all in more detail.

Where does the photoshoot take place?

Family photoshoots are open to so many options including parks & beaches or an intimate in home (for a cosy, relaxed feel). We’ll choose a space that best reflects your family’s energy and comfort. I’ll offer location suggestions based on what you’re drawn to.

What if my kids don’t behave?

The most important thing to remember is, kids don’t need to “behave.” My aim is to make the shoot feel fun and relaxed, never forced. With 20 years photographing families, I know how to make the most of our time together. Once your date is locked in, I’ll send a prep guide to help you feel ready.

What happens if it rains?

We will reschedule your photoshoot to the next available day unless you want to change to an indoor home photoshoot but this is completely up to you. Weather can be unpredictable so we usually confirm the evening before a sunrise or the morning of a sunset.
